World of golf - golf course and mini golf

After a relaxing sleep, your day starts with a substantial breakfast: fresh eggs and mouth-watering sausage from the surrounding area - or try the extensive selection of marmalades. Invigorated, you head out for a round of golf directly on the Rheinsberg's doorstep.
Now you’re starting to get into it - and the bike tour through the magnificent surrounding nature is also good for the body and soul. You start the afternoon with a Fair Trade coffee and an exquisite piece of cake and then stroll through the forest for half an hour or so afterwards.
A selection of delicious dishes, a good glass of wine or a cold beer await you for dinner on the terrace.

What can I experience ...

... in Bad Säckingen

The romantic old town with its winding alleys, time-honoured minster, Europe’s longest covered wooden bridge and the small, historic castle with its floristic, beautifully designed park, various museums and, last but not least of course, the grand history of Joseph Viktor von Scheffels and the "Trumpeter of Säckingen” – these highlights alone turn a visit to Bad Säckingen into an experience, but the town with its almost Mediterranean climate has much more to offer its guests...

Golfpark Bad Säckingen

A golf course that’s fun

The golf course in Bad Säckingen offers all the elements that make an interesting course: dog leg, frontal water, greens protected by bunkers, nature, a number of narrow sections. The golf course borders a conservation area and is suitable for beginners as well as aspiring tournament players. The course is also very popular amongst older golfers, as there are no gradients to speak of and the distances are short. The club secretary’s office, restaurant and toilets are just a few minutes’ walk away. Parking is available directly at the driving range. Golfers particularly enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. “It’s a course that lets you really unwind while you play…“. Other positives: The course is open almost all year round.

Insider tip!

My tip is a visit to the Museum of Energy in Hottingen (I live nearby). Situated a short distance from the Hottingen district in the municipality of Rickenbach, it attracts hikers who enjoy spending their break discovering something new and interesting on the topic of “Energy in the region” through the many window displays, as well as visitors who are keen to find out more during its opening hours. It is open every Sunday from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Entry is free! The castle ruins in Wiladingen are also worth a visit. The ruins are hidden away and can be accessed by a pleasant circular trail that takes about 1-2 hours. There are also places to buy a refreshment or two.
